I would have thought the Isle of grain is where you grow wheat, not the Isla of Gravel.

Yes,  Isle of grain in Kent,  theres a big power station out there.

Looks good in the distance but I'm guessing it is way too far to fly over to and back.

It's 10.4km in a straight line,  so in theory doable with FCC mode on a bigger drone.

Ive been over that side quite recently,   it's a long way around as I have to go to outer London to get on a bridge over the thames.

I know what you mean, although the Avata has changed how I feel about some of the regular spots.

I start to get bored. We need new horizons.  The mapping program has given me some new perspectives . I am going to make 3D models of some buildings. The should keep me busy this summer.

Based on the shape of the terrain in that area I'm sure you are right about winds blowing through that area. It seems they'd be more crosswinds but then again it could be headwinds  on the way over.
