Ive been trying some new things,   I just did an orbit up there with the avata 2 but it would make you ill with the lake of stabilisation.

You really notice the wind with this drone,    as theres no 3rd axis stabilisation.

Having a cage around the props doesn't help with stabilization under windy conditions for sure.  Couple that with no 3rd axis and you have a problem on windy days.

It's amazing how far tilted it will fly.  but the downside of that is Gyroflow will cut out the subject of the filming unless it's bang on centre.

Friday was a lovely day for flying - spent all morning flying the Avata 2 on a drive to Hertfordshire. Tomorrow and Tuesday look nice too then rain for the rest of the week.

I guess DJI wasn't too worried about filming at the drone's maximum tilt.

It certainly is.  I just found out that my grandson's friend has the Avata 2 and he is going to bring it over this weekend so I can try FPV flying one more time.

Nice,   make sure he gets you to go through the tutorial for setting up the diopter and positions,   that makes a huge difference to me,  if they are wrong it feels terrible.

Im about to shoot,    got an 803m mountain to get to the top of,  its only 1.9m but I suspect its going to be like 1.9 miles of stair climbing,  we may not make it to the submit,  but if we do I have a drone flight planned from 923m.

We made it to the top,   took much longer than planned but due to cloud cover I could only fly from about 750m but still it was quite fun skimming under the clouds.

I flew both on route to the top,  but the Avata was used to skim the cliffs and the low clouds.
