We went to the woods in the end and it still rained,    had some issues with the carpark being flooded and out car having zero clearance.

Well at least you gave it a try.  Guess it will be time to wash the car after that trip.  Well maybe not until it quits raining.

I’ve already done that as I got home.  Didn’t go mad as we have a week of rain but it’s clean if not polished dry.

Nice job.  I hate leaving mud or dirt on my vehicles, if nothing else and with more raining coming I at least rinse them off really well.  Fortunately, we haven't had any of the "r" word recently.

It does look a bit water spotty as it didnt rain as much as I had expected but I can fix that with detailing spray

Yeah it does sound like only a little touch up needs to be done.  We are going through a period here of pollen falling everywhere and you can wash your vehicle and the next morning it will have a coat of pollen already on it again.  Seems all these palm trees are the cause of a lot of the pollen.

I hate that,  I also get these weird dots of pollen and Ive never figured out where they come from.

Yes, it always amazes as how far the air can carry pollen dust.
