Caught me by surprise DT and I must confess it took a moment to twig what the day way,    It was common here to have a May Day fair and dance around a maypole,  they are dancing around a pole with black rope being weaved onto it.

Mind you took me longer to find the music.

I love those corny dress ups and dances. We once met the "Sarum Morris" at Old Wardour Castle and took part in their Cotswold Morris...

Blimey,  Ive not seen one for years,  probably since I was at junior school.   And Ive never actually tried it.

I was rather reluctant myself but my girls loved it.

Lovely spectacle. Nicely filmed.  No spectators , strangely.  The maypole tradition goes back a long way.

They had one spectator, and at one point they seemed to bow to the drone god.
