Very cool shot. No fear of heights to work that scaffolding.

Wow, that's a ton of scaffolding.  Remarkable shot    I love the angle you took it at as it really shows you how far down it actually is.

That's why this engineer wanted shots of it. By law every building over 7 stories has to be inspected periodically. Any faults have to be repaired for brick don't fall on people. It has to be an expensive process.

Sounds like a good law but an expensive one to comply with but even more expensive if you don't and it falls down.

There are so many expensive laws in the city. I don't know how the land owners can do it. It explains the high costs of rent and purchases in the city. You have to be a millionaire to live there now.

No doubt that is one of many reasons why rent is so high.  Has home owner's insurance sky rocketed there recently?  Seems insurers in Florida have learned from previous hurricane seasons claims and have jacked up the insurance premiums where a lot of people can no longer afford insurance.  The problem is the mortgage company will take out a policy at an exorbitant cost if the home owner doesn't keep a valid policy and just add that to the mortgage owed.   Sadly, some home owners that don't have a mortgage are going without insurance.  Not a risk I'm willing to take.  The insurance on my mini-yacht has always been expensive.  At least if a super hurricane is headed  my way I can take off the lines and get underway and out of harms way.

I realized the the contractors felt like we didn't know what we were doing on their site then we wore our baseball hats and athletic shoes.

I went to  Mid Town NY to scope out some work from AT & T. But it was realy from some smaller consultants that wanted us to take scans of the building roof tops for cell tower antennae. We had to climb ladders on top of these sky scrapers and open high voltage panels to take photos. My assistant and I didn't feel it was worth the risk. We like the creative end.
