At low tide, the passenger ferry across the estuary of the river Camel, near Padstow in Cornwall, only takes a couple of minutes.The Mini3Pro was there to observe.

Interesting. The ferry makes a lot of sense; otherwise the way round the bay is pretty long.

But passengers only it seems.

Short transit but lovely footage.   I wonder how many trips they make a day?

When the pilot of that passenger ferry goes home at night and his kid(s) ask how his day went I'm thinking it would be like this "I went from point A to point B then to Point A and then to Point B and just did that all day".  

Nicely captured,   we didnt see that when we visited due to the time being out.

I was going to take a trip across. There and back would only have taken 15 minutes or so. But the extra walking time there and back would have eaten up my flight time, as the coach was due to leave within the hour.

Thats the problem with coach trips, you're always on someone else's schedule,   I was surprised to see a pair of boats doing the crossing though,  I guess its busy at this time of year.


As we came up towards Manchester yesterday there were loads of bluebells on the side of the motorway,   they really are later up here,  all of ours have gone over now.

A real mix bag today,  had one guy stop and ask lots of questions about the drone., he was really into it but we could understand him,  then the next person to say hello could have said absolutely anything.   But still more friendly than at home.

No. As you say, on a coach trip you're following someone else's timetable.
But not having to drive is the advantage - being able to sit back and admire the scenery.

That version does come in a paler green and more silver.     My preferred brand is Bloom and that might be a pale blue green colour.

When the tide is in, there are bigger boats in the harbour. This was at low tide when the water depth is too shallow. For cars, the journey around to cross the river by bridge isn't that far, so a RORO ferry for vehicles probably isn't viable.

Yeah, we have a lot of these RORO's around here.
