What an amazing sunrise shot DA.    Capturing the train heading into the mist was perfect timing.   

Sunrise with mist and a train...very nice!

thanks DT,   we need some steam trains but nothing is scheduled that Im aware of until the end of the year now.

You're welcome.  I guess that they run the steam trains a whole lot less nowadays.  Here they run only for show as they are not nearly efficient or powerful as the diesel electric trains.

On our local line they only run them for special tours,  and it seems half of those dont get the steam engine until near the end of the journey.

Okay, seems that would be more for just show then.  At least they still run them so that is at least something.

One can only hope it includes a nice meal.  No doubt the ticket prices go up for the steam train ride experience.

Blimey,   those steam train rides including a lucky can be £350 each for a day trip,  and more if you upgrade bits.

That's a crazy expensive trip to just say you've been on a train pulled by a steam locomotive.

Yes,   and on some of them the steam train is only pulling for an hour or two.

It's a disgrace really,  all the trips Ive looked at have a disclaimer that the steam engine part can be replaced at their will.
