Has there been any update on the Mavic Pro Platinum RID DOC? I know it was recinded at the request of DJI, but I've got a grounded $1,700 Mavic Pro Platinum Fly More Package investment that I'd love to fly. Is DJI planning on enabling continued use of their product, or are they screwing their customers by not doing anything?

Hello, this drone is not provided with the RID function. To fly with compliance, you can fly within FRIAs or acquire a third-party RID module on the FAA DOC audit list and then retrofit it to your drone. Thank you for your understanding.

The Mavic Pro Platinum does not broadcast RID.  You need to purchase an external RID module to make it compliant for flight in the USA.  The cheapest one I am aware of is the Holystone model.  It can be purchased on Amazon for about $90.  Potensic has also released one for about the same price.  Both are currently offering 10% discounts off the price.

Here is an even cheaper one by Ruku for $49.  This is prerelease & set to be available on 5/22.
