Hello,
I'm trying to connect my pocket 3 to my windows 10 PC through a genuine USB-C cable, but the connection doesn't work properly.
I connect the cable and turn on my pocket 3, and select [File trancefar/OTG].
Then Pocket 3's storage is once connected to my PC, and immediately disconnected, automatically reconnected, and disconnected... this happens repeatedly every few seconds.
Sometimes successfully I can see the data on windows and can drag-and-drop the data files but every time the connection gets broken immediately and fail to trancefar.
This issue occurs with other USB-C cables and other USB ports.

Any advice to solve this? Thank you

I don't know what the issue is, but I can do this with my OP3 and Surface Pro 7 Win11 laptop. Is there another PC you can try with just to try a different variation? You might also try a different uSD card to eliminate another variable.

I had a similar problem with my Action 2.  I think it was a resource problem in the PC - the database of devices which had been connected was full.  I think.

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out and we do apologize for the trouble. Please make sure that you are using a USB communication data cable when connecting your DJI Pocket 3 to a computer. Also, please try to use a different computer to further isolate the issue. If the problem persists, please provide us with a short video showing the issue so we can check it further. Same problem here. Using the original cable, on a windows 11 pc. The otg opens and closes intermittently. Even the webcam now has issues.
Before this, I used to be able to use the webcam for up to 30minutes with no problem.

Hi there. Sorry about the trouble. Please try the procedures below and see if it will help;
1. Check whether DJI Pocket 3 has been attached to a smartphone adapter. If so, please try plugging the smartphone adapter in a reverse direction or connecting DJI Pocket 3 to a computer without using a smartphone adapter.
2. When Pocket 3 recognizes the computer, a prompt will appear on the touchscreen asking “connect to computer?”. Please select “Accept”.
3. If you are using a DJI USB Splitter Charging Cable (Type-A to Type-C), please connect the cable with the data transfer logo on the connector, if the other one is connected, it only supports charging.

4. Restart Pocket 3 and replace the USB-C cable, the port of the computer, and the SD card to have a try.
5. If a Mac computer with an M1 chip is being used, it is recommended to use a microSD card reader to copy photos and videos. If possible, please use another computer.
If the issue persists please send back the device for inspection. We appreciate your patience.

I am having the same issue. Cannot connect Osmo 3 to Windows via a cable. The Osmo 2 on this same computer connected great each time.

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out and we do apologize for the trouble. Can you confirm what specific Osmo are you referring to? Are you referring to Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo Action 3, or Osmo Mobile 3? Please keep us posted.

Hello,

I've just joined the forum having bought an Osmo Action 4 and am seeking answers to a couple of issues I'm having.  I'm am experiencing the same problem as this post (https://forum.dji.com/thread-300788-1-1.html) so have already followed the advice and suggestions already posted.  So far, nothing has worked.

So like you, I wish to transfer videos from my device to my Windows 11 lap top which has USB-C ports (so I assumed they would be perfect and compatible with the Osmo).  However, when I connect the camera to the lap top (using the Osmo cable supplied), whilst it initially connects, within about 5 seconds, it disconnects.  This is true of all 3 ports on the computer which I have never experienced any problems with before.

I also have a Windows 10 lap top, so, since this has just regular USB ports (not C), I used a genuine Samsung regular USB to C cable, but still experienced the same problem - a brief connection which dropped out after a matter of seconds.  My technical knowledge is limited, so the reply by one commentator (that it could be a resource problem in the PC - the database of devices which had been connected was full) unfortunately doesn't actually mean anything to me.

So any advice in this regard would be appreciated.

I also have a query regarding the charging time of the batteries which don't come anywhere close to the '18 minutes to an 80% charge' claimed in promotional videos I have seen when using the multi-function battery case.  It is taking over 8 hours to charge just one battery - having read some other people reporting the same problem, there was a suggestion that this often happened with the initial charge and that the more you charged them, the quicker they became.  I have not found this to be the case and in fact the first time I plugged the case in to charge all 3 batteries, it took over 12 hours.  However, this is not the case if I use an adaptive fast charger plugged directly into the camera.  Then, the charging is impressively quick.  So again, any advice regarding this issue would be appreciated.

I hope I've complied with all the rules and terms...

Ali

Action 4 forum area may get you better focus https://forum.dji.com/forum.php?mod=forumdisplay&fid=129

I have no issues with battery charging but do use a 35w charger that came with an iPad connected to the battery hub/case.  Goes without lower watt output plugs will increase charge times, it sounds like charging in camera on a single battery is ok have tried charging one battery only via the hub does it change the charging time experienced?

Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time to respond and your advice (and for pointing me to the correct forum).

I have just spoken with the store where I bought the camera and they suggested I tried charging the charging hub with my laptop charger which has Max 65W on the the transponder part of the charger
It also has INPUT 100-240v ~ 1.8A 50-60 Hz
OUTPUT 20.0V---3.25A 65.0W/15V---3A/9V---3A/5V---3.0A 15.0W  (none of which mean anything to me!)

And yes, I tried just charging one battery in the hub last night, it took over 15h, using the Osmo USB-C cable and a Samsung super fast charger which is 25W.  So my next attempt when I have a flat battery is to use the Laptop 65W charger and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks again for taking the time to reply

... the laptop charger did the trick - fully charged within 25 minutes. Thank you SO much for the tip, it has saved me a lot of forums/research!  Now all I need to sort out is the USB-C conundrum...

You are welcome, always best to use 35w+ for the battery hub, your usb issue may be harder to resolve but I would check for any power management settings in Windows that might be effecting usb ports I have a vague memory about something similar but not been a Windows user for a while now.

Nope, it's mine and me riding, also a 1250.  I bought it in 2021 but have to admit, I've since wished I'd bought the triple black... thanks again for the other advice, definitely will be using the laptop charger from now on

For your slow charging the fast charge speeds mentioned require a PD cable and a charger with 30 watts or more output. Connected to a computer or older charger it will get there eventually.

Many thanks for taking the time to reply, I can see now the wattage is key and having tried this out, it returned immediate results using my (up to 65W) laptop charger
