Has anyone managed to find a close focus filter (diopter) that fits on the Action 4?

zoom in with the  sensor  lower right corner, DJI should offer us the allowance in Customes to lock it

remember do not go under water with any aftermarket lenses, may  void the warranty, and waterproof of the  camera, water will enter through the lens if not properly screwed.
and that is a SLIP ON not a threaded product

I find the zoom function on the action 4 looks terrible. It looses too much sensor data when it crops in.

This looks interesting. The close focus I'm after is for vlogging, not macro. I think this is too much.

And that’s the problem. No one makes them for sale. It would be really useful if DJI made a step up converter from the cover lens thread size to say, 49mm so that we could use any filter that we want.
Lutzmix has printed his own adapter!!

I think the reason is because there are so many people out there who don't know that the camera is not waterproof (if they remove the protective filter), and want to take it diving and then complain to dji that the camera is not waterproof.

I was thinking along the same kind of arrangement as their nd filters.

The closeup filter I use for the Ace Pro is only 2 or 4X. In fact for 4 x it needs to be very close. Does the Action need more than that? (I noticed that Osmonauta’s link is to a 15 x which seems way too much)

15X is a Macro.  its too bad that we can not swap out like a Pixiaero lens. made and discontinued of the Action 1  As we  wanted or not a wider range lens, we got it, going back to the 35mm style seems outdated but will catch back on eventually down the line

If only someone could make/design an adapter we could 3D print ourself that would work with maybe a 52mm filter.

It would be useful or if Ulanzi  made a case with adapter on the front, like the GoPro ones.

Have seen yours before, is it put on top of the second filter? I would like to have one that replaces the old one with screw on and up to maybe 52mm

you can try the silicone lensprotector with s 39mm stepup ring

or the tilta cage and a stepup ring
tilta has its own filter

With the old Dji smallrig cage you could screw a step up ring onto the housing, this would be possible with the Tilta cage (DIY solution)

Does tilta make a close focus adapter that fits their cage?

What is the thread size of the Action 4 lens? Is it 39mm? You can get a 39 to 43mm step-up ring here. There are other sizes available from the dropdown menu:
