My favorite beach on the Big Island of Hawaii.  Hapuna Beach. Shot on a Mini 4 Pro.  The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort is the hotel in the shot, rooms start a $600US per night.Last post from my 2024 trip.

Thanks very much, Captain DAFlys.  It is located on the leeward size of an 11,000 ft volcano.  The other side of the volcano gets up to 200 inches of rain a year.

Now that is a private beach - great capture

Thanks very much, Captain AJ.  The right side by the hotel is private.  The other side is a State Park.  No drone take-offs are allowed in the state park.  I flew from the green field by the hotel.

Great sphere and a good amount of parking too.

The law is an ass sometimes - how you can't take off from one spot but can from another just metres away depending on who owns the land. It's got nothing to do with safety - it's all about control.

Great Pano. That's a huge complex, and a nice beach. Sun, sea and golf.  Not much else in that barren landscape behind.

Great beach and shoreline.    Shame your stay there had to end.

You're very welcome.  Yes, unfortunately that is true.  Hawaii was one of my more enjoyable duty stations.
