Recreating the opening from Michael Portillo's Train Journeys

Mr @Blériot53 put me onto an episoide of Michael Portillo's Train Journeys that was partly filmed in my town,  so I thought Id recreate a drone shot from the opening scence,  shame it wasn't August when they filmed it.

Taken with Mini 3 Pro.

It was a simple shot from the opening scene of a TV show.   The train in this case bombed the shot.

It got better later in than that.

We were killing ourselves watching the show last night,  not a scene we didnt know. .

What was interesting is the bit at the station was recorded I think on the 24 September 2022,  so its been a while in the can.

I think the whole series is a couple of years old. Post-covid probably.

I guess that is a UK only show as the name doesn't ring a bell with me.  Then again, I rarely watch TV shows.

Based on the colour of the buses and the flags at half mast just after the queen died,  on a weekend for Benfleet as the gates to the pub were open and then judging by the tide.......

I suspect it is,  he's travelling around the UK coast on the train. although he does really show the hassle that is.

Michael Portillo was a British politician for many years.   He grates on me,  but the few shows that were local were quite fun to watch.

That narrows it down quite a bit. How about the time of day?

The gates dont open until about 11:30,  and theres a clue about the sun position based on some of the shadows you could make out.

Come on, I was expecting an answer to the nearest second

Id say about 11:30,  high tide was 12:40 assuming its the Sunday as its fairly quiet in the intro (station carpark was about as empty as it gets),  if it was about 2 as the tide is receding the shadows would have been further around.

We watched the next part last night where he goes to Woodbridge etc and that was quite a good episode.    Although hes not showing the pain the train routes are for the places he is going,.

Don't point that out or BritRail will find an excuse to cut even more services

It was a TV show that Mr B put me onto where he's traveling the coast by train and stopped in my town,   we had a good laugh at the locations he visited.
