Dang, bad timing on my part.  I'd be interested in hearing her input on that set.  They advertise it as a mid-line set but reviews are 4.8 out of 5 so I'm thinking it is a good set.  I don't need a high-end set for sure.

It all depends what they want from it?
Beginner? What music they want to play? Why they want them? Studio, live, home?
Lots of variables. Such as skins, shell ply, material etc. Mapex aren't bad by the sounds of them.

If he wants something just to jam on at home, the Pearl entry level kits are good and a bit cheaper. Tama are very good and drum workshop are the best, but cost a fortune. Tell him to check out what his favourite drummers use

Would you believe it's raining here now,.    very grey for my walk and the two families who gone to the castle for sunrise were quite disappointed.

Thanks for the quick reply Mr. B.  My two favorite drummers as well as my drum instructor use Mapex Saturn Evolution Drum Sets with Paiste cymbals.  My use would be for home and possible for live.  I've looked at DW drum sets but they are priced like the Ferrari of drum sets.  I'm going to do some more due diligence before I make a purchase.  Please pass along my thanks to your daughter.

We took the avata down to the creek about that time,  stopped to talk to a neighbour and whilst there is rained on us,    then cleared but the wind was up and the avata flew at 45 degrees.

It was a bit twitchy,  but then Ive now seen some reviews that are showing it do that in the calm as well.    I will post a video shortly.

I'm thinking about getting an acoustic drum set.  The electronic drum set works great for practice but I think I'm ready to make some real noise with an acoustic drum set.  I'm currently ooking at this one in particular.  Next time you see you drum-playing daughter please see if she thinks this is a good set.

Absolutely!

Now that sure is an eye-catcher! Certainly more attention-provoking and impressive-looking than your average street car. It was a great idea to keep the pocket 2 at hand

I suspect that if you can afford getting one of those, then you can also afford getting a separate butler with his own car to deliver your groceries.
