Whenever dji will kindly provide a firmware update for Mini 2 SE that will add 4k and 100 Mbps capabilities (thus basically upgrading it to Mini 4k) I will gladly pay for it!

They would have done that already if it was possible instead of releasing a "new model", which as we can see according to FCC filing is just a Mini 2 SE with new camera module (and new wireless chips, but those have same functionality and are just updated part numbers). "1. Add an alternative camera chip H22A55. (Comparing to the original camera chip H22A35, the alternative H22A55 chip has 4k function, which not supported by H22A35)"

Browsing the net does not reveal any info about differences between the two chips.

However, it seems that the whole H22 class has native 4K capabilities:
