OP seems to have missed out the ability to change camera settings on the fly with the remote, and the SDK pack which allows follow-me/way-points. So much for ones ability to read & comprehend!
ps: Have you got a thread on the blurayforums with regard to your cinema setup yet? What projector have you got please
And just for the record on the battery:
Total energy (voltage * capacity) is:
14.8 v * 4.480 Ah = 66.3 Watt-Hrs for the P3 battery vs.
11.2 v * 5.200 Ah = 57.7 Watt-Hrs for the P2.
A little thing perhaps but ... that controller feels great! I love the rubberized grips on the sides and the big start button. Those Lightbridge antennas look cool as well and supposedly get a lot better range than the old one. There are a lot of small things that come together to make the Phantom 3 very desirable. Perhaps DJI will work out those small negatives by the time I get one around the end of the year.
A. Heavier + More stable.
B. The battery have an extra cell. It has LONGER flight time not less.
C,D. More stable flight. Smoother camera shots.
E. Better GPS accuracy reduces the potential for "flyaway" problems and improves flight performance.
F. It's a huge improvement.
Now for the improvements:
1. No more fishbowl lens. No more lens corrections needed.
2. Better camera with more dynamic range and less noise.
3. 4K. It can shoot in 4K.
4. Lightbridge allows for DOUBLE the operating range and superior live view performance. Better reliability.
5. Shoots DNG uncompressed stills. Vastly superior image quality over Vision+.
6. Ground sensors provide better performance indoors & provide precise landings.
Just personal opinion but I believe with the couple features taken out and the added gps satellites the phantom three has this will greatly assist with those fly always many people complain about from most quads on the market. This alone makes it worth the extra money. Let alone the other great features DJI has added.
I don't agree with your assessment at all. I think 4k alone is enough for what I am doing. If anyone has had to deal with all of the RC mess while keeping quality with a gopro, then this will be a welcome addition. As usual with ALL products DJI, I'm more worried about customer service then anything else!!!
