I do not like the idea of the drop, throw or palm, to me, that's asking for something to go wrong.
I mostly hand catch/launch this mini 2, but I always use the grip method to land and take off, and in the way of the sensors.
The reason being, it means I can line up and as I do so, it ascends a little, then left stick down brings it down slow enough to be
able to safely grip it and keeping the stick down will stop the motors.
Take-off is also using the grip method, but i will nudge it upwards to initiate the take-off whilst still gripping and when I feel that
its good to go, just let go, this way there's no room for error as long as your grip is tight because the AC is fighting to ascend, plus
as the motors are fighting to go, means that the only way is up and its quickly away from your person.
The palm method leaves it open to tilting, throwing it leaves it susceptible to gusts, perhaps the throw wasn't as hard etc, i dont
the video didnt scream safe to me, where as grip & nudge, leaves it trying its hardest to move away from you before youve even
let go. Just me i supposed... |
