This is not a change that we are requesting. It doesn't need software or hardware change. This just needs you to release the specs.

What are you hiding?

Do we need to goto bloggers and YouTube influencers to start to get attention on this issue?
Does anyone know any YouTubers or website with good traffic who could do that?

gp log looks well documented, however is not added to Davinci Resolve 19 still, at least they already have published their logarithmic profile information

First I tried the DJI LUT which resulted in totally oversaturated footage. No fun to start with.

Second try was relying on DaVinci Color Management: no input/output CST, Color Science "DaVinci YRGB Color Managed", Color Processing mode "HDR DaVinci Wide Gamut Intermediate" and output color space Rec.709. This worked pretty well for my two scuba dive videos.

Third try was using the salamifish DCTL (Salamifish_DJI_transform_HDR_V4 ) mentioned in #67 in this thread. Color Science is set to "DaVinci YRGB", Timeline Color Space is "ARRI LogC3" and Output color space set to Rec.709. A first node is a DCTL node to convert from DLog-M to Arri LogC WG. This worked pretty well for my fun fair video.

A lot of trial and error plus some extra money, all avoidable if...

Any news? All ecosystem with D Log M are waiting

Were you working in a colour managed work space? I have used the salamifish DCTL and have found it’s still a bit flat

Yes, colormanaged. And yes, flat at the beginning which gives me a good starting point for editing.

I will look for another video from YT about DJI Dlog M (anything related, color grading, review, DJI drones/ camera ) and inform them regarding this Issue so we can keep this thread alive

To be honest, the moment GoPro slaps WB sensor on their camera, OA4 will go into the dustbin. DJI DLOGM is a gimmick, dont waste your time and just shoot normal color profile to get better results.
GoPro has experimental (Labs) firmware for a several years now, that gives you more control over your camera. You can program your camera to use higher bitrates (up to 200mbps), modify log profile and emulate other cameras, mess with exposure and many other things.
DJI haven't done anything that would be even remotely close to what GoPro offers to its community and all we see here is generic answers, that add zero value to the conversation.

TLDR: move on to other brands that care about community and their product.

I just bought a DJI Mini 4 Pro drone, but I have doubts about how to use the D log-M mode of this drone to restore it to HDR video, because the color gamut corresponding to the D log-M mode is Rec 709, while the color gamut required for HDR is Rec 2020 or Rec 2100. I hope to get some explanation and help, thank you!
