Last month, I flew my Phantom 4 over our farm to inspect our hay fields.  I wanted to see which ones my grandfather had already cut or baled.  As I began flying over the field directly to the north of our house, I saw in my video feed something moving across the field, something not visible from my position on the ground.  Upon decending, it was clear I had come across a whitetail doe, which fled at the sound of the four propellors.  I managed to get one picture just as she began running, then began to pursue her.  She stopped before reaching the woods, looking around for the source of the noise.  After taking another picture, I flew away and left her alone.

She didn't want to hang around long.  I was kind of hoping to see if she had a fawn with her, but it was clear that if she had one, it wasn't anywhere near her.
