A missed turn on the way to the local corner shop for an ice cream, ended up going through the Australian Outbacks and Wilderness for 74 days.
There were many spectacular "barriers" on the way, the Kimberley ( Gibb River Rd, Mitchell Falls, Cape Leveque, Winjana Gorge, Cable Beach, Geikie Gorge, Bungle Bungle etc.), the Canning Stock Route (the longest 4x4 track in the World), Ann Beadell Hwy, Breakaways, Painted Deserts, Oodnadatta Track, Uluru, Olgas, Chambers Pillar, Hay River Tracks & Madigan Line, Simpson Deserts, Flinders Ranges, Murray River, Darling River, Mungo National Park, Grampians, Great Ocean Road, Twelve Apostles etc.
This is an aerial impression of the trip from the eyes of a drone, the Mavic Pro.
Mavic survived a couple of out-of-communication syndromes, heavy head winds on returning home, the ubiquitous red dusts of Australia, the odd encounters with obstructive bushes, a crash to the side of a cliff which broke all the rotar blades, but finally, succumbed to winds off the Great Ocean Road with all its glorious battle scars........Long Live Mavic.
And finally, found that illusive ice cream shop, looks like I need to update my GPS.....enjoy the video.
