I have now found out that a lower setting for gimbal pitch sensitivity is "better", that is less sensitive and thus much more smooth movements takes place.
Is this the same with the smoothness setting? Lower value means "smoother"?

No necessarily, don’t go to low , your craft will become very slow particularly banking, it’s trial and erro as to what suits you style of flying, the straighter the lines are together the more abrupt your aircraft will fly, it will be super sensitive, so try with gentle arcs and see how they work for you,

Thank you for your quick reply. Unfortunately I don't understand yet what the relationship is between the handling of the drone and the movement of the gimbal. In other words I did not know that the gimbal movement has anything to do with the flying of the drone.

Thank you once again for your patience and help in this regard.

After watching this excellent video and a few others I came to the conclusion that the following settings will work best for most circumstances.

Gimbal pitch speed: 5 minimum - 20 maximum (I`ve now set my setting to 8)
Gimbal smoothness: around 20  (I`ve now set my setting to 20)
EXP for Yaw: 0.10 - 0.20  (I`ve now set my setting to 0.10)
Yaw end point: 30 - 50  (I`ve now set my setting to 40)

Unfortunately (not that I`m ungrateful for the rain) it is raining and I cannot test these settings. However there seems to be good conditions coming in 2 - 3 days

Yep - lower slows down the movement making the capture more cinematic

Wouldn’t worry to much about the rain, in Ireland we seem to get enough rain to quench the thirst of the rest of Europe. ;+) .
Your settings should improve your overall cinematic footage, slight tweaking from time to time, is no harm, that’s the beauty of these machines, so much you can improve in preparation for shooting stills and video, lots of trial and error much practice as you can to get what you like, and hopefully others will like as well.
Good Luck.
