Thanks, could have pushed more battery was at 73% only at 6.2 and signal still 4 bars for Rc and Hd but the app said to come back

Very nice distance there. Thing with Durban, and JHB for that matter, is you never know if it is fog, or woodsmoke from the low income housing that we are flying through. Looks cool though. Can,t wait to test mine out soon.

Thanks, I found that with the standard app distance not great but with my hacked one never drop signal

Yup, i actually found a way to switch between the hack and the original and still keep the FCC mode on the original. The trick is to str=art the drone with the hack app which tells the drone it is in in fcc then switch the apps without closing the hacked one, once the original is open and it shows the fcc mode you can close the hack but have to do this every time.

Does fcc vs ce still make a difference with occysync? I thought it had something to do with the wi fi signal of the Air? Could you maybe explain a bit, where and what does it do different, and why is it still a issue on the MP2 and Zoom?

My layman explantation - FCC is for USA and because of country regulations they are allowed to have a stronger signal and for any other country there is another rule, something about 0,5watt and 0,1 watt from what I know. When i use the normal app i got around 5km with massive signal drop but with this hack i went the 6,2 with 1 signal bar drop, feels like I can go over 10km if the battery allows. The app makes the drone think that I am in the USA without the need of a fake gps( which does not work on the Mavic 1 or 2). Maybe someone will come on here and explain how the FCC and CE works better. I am not Technically knowlaged in that field just know how to hack it

The DJI Configs file mod will work on both Android and iOS. The maximum power at which consumer products can transmit on the 2.4Ghz wifi frequency used by DJI aircraft is 0.1 watts (0.1W) in many countries. In a minority of countries, including the U.S. it is 1W. Some countries lie in between. Only one country, India, allows more than 1W (In India, the max is 4W!). In most parts of the world DJI aircraft uses a power output of 0.1W by default, which is pretty weak. In the U.S., it uses 0.4W. However, the equipment can be configured to a maximum of 1.5 Watts of TX power anywhere in the world with the directions below. In transmission setting, if you look at the signal graph, you can see than there is two horizontal lines, one for the “~1km” and one for the “~4km”.
If you are in EC mode, the “~1km” line is just under 90 dbm/mhz, so between 90 and 100dbm/mhz and the “~4km” line is between 100 and 110 dbm/mhz. If you are in FCC mode, the “~1km” line is between 80 and 90 dbm/mhz and the “~4km” line is juste upper 100 dbm/mhz, so between 90 and 100dbm/mhz.

Dustin Dunhill hit something like more than 5 miles and landed with 1% remaining. Scary moment. Whereas Billy Kyle went further still but lost his drone... Take care mate.

Comming from the Air, so far, around 2kms, would be scary enought as is, so I will practice first.
Why don,t you get a friend to go to a beach about 8 or 10 or so kms away, get the gps, and send your drone there, land, and he can bring it back? Just head in a straight line there. Let us know, could maybe be a new world record.

I was using the fake gps thing for the air, could never get the hack to work. Maybe should give it a tr;y again. Does the two versions of DJI go install side to side?

That was what swayed me to the zoom, although the MP2 camera is much better there is aomplaints and yes maybe only a small amount of issues but it is still there. I also feel that the camera on the MP2 is very heavy for the Gimble where as the zoom camera is just like the MP1
