I have read thru a few post and watched some videos.....

I cannot get my new Mavic Air 2 to synchronize correctly with the bottom radar, its off bad....
   Galaxy S10+
1. I did the GIMBAL,  COMPASS AND IMU cibrations in the open on flat ground
2. Perhaps more concerning at this location i notice the Drone thunks its about 3-4ft lower than it is, even though it was literally calibratef about 3.5ft high today....it thinks about 4ft off the ground is less than zero......
3. I am also getting some range issues before 1250ft...have calibrated the phone compass with google maps, also flipped phone this
Is all new to me and very concerning....latest firmware and android app files....being new all this is adding disorientation and additional anxiety....

Any help is appreciated ,also a good app for editimg video gor a beginner be nice too....my girst DJI product was my OSMO pocket loved it so had confidence with the fly more.mavic 2 purchase, but that is faltering...

Thanks Shawn

The altitude measurement is done with a barometer sensor, to get it within plus or minus 6 feet is doing pretty well.

Hi Shawn,

The aircraft orientation indicator (AOI) gets 2 values as its input.

a) compass data from your drone = arrow direction on the AOI
b) compass data from your mobile device = postion on the arrow in the forward 180 degree scale.

Calibrating your device may help, but not always is the postion on the scale 100% accurate.

Good news, if you fly and pointing the RC towards the craft and you see the arrow on the forward half....oke, if you yaw craft such that the arrow is pointing to the dot if will fly home direction.

AND map view and align the arrow onto the line to home is another way of directing to home.

AND, always check in this map view before takeoff if the arrow direction is the same as in the real world...if not, do not start a flight!

cheers
