#DJI Air 2s is one of the latest upper-mid-range models, which has been bought by many people with the illusion of its motto "All in one". Like many, I acquired this drone with a lot of economic effort, hoping to be able to use it not only for photographs and videos, but also for my small professional activity in topographic cartography (photogrammetry) with programs such as PIX4D, DroneDeploy, Litchi since to date DJI does not offer an ofcial 3D mapping software for Air series. Like many users, we feel a great disappointment at the big step backwards that DJI has taken by not giving SDK support to the Air 2s and the Mavic Mini 2, which is allowed even with cheaper and inferior models like the Mavic Mini and Air 2. DJI sells us the illusion of an "all-in-one" drone as its motto goes, but betrays its fans by refusing to release the SDK in its updates for these flagship models. DJI runs the risk of losing a lot of customers if it doesn't listen to its fans. Those of us who signed this petition plead with #frankwang and the #DJI developers to listen to the claim of #DJI fans by allowing SDK support for all DJI AIR 2 (#SDK AIR 2S) and Mini 2 users. We will be eternally grateful con DJI.

As JohnDG said above, the SDK is 'supposed' to be available in September. That date came from a DJI employee and was mentioned somewhere here on the forum. As for an 'official' response from DJI, that will appear at the same time as the SDK does, and not before.

I expect to see a lot happen once the new SDK is released, back when the mini 1 launched they were already working on v5 and were waiting for it to be ready then to add features to existing v4 platform. The mini 1 just so happen to squeeze into the v4 SDK and was supported, once v5 is released all the new drones will be likely supported and FW updates that we've been waiting months on will finally be added.

Just a hunch.

According to the SDK roadmap mentioned in post #7, the Mini 2 support has been added to the code and is set to be released in version 4.16 around Dec 30, 2021.

Does that mean that if I installed the DJI Fly App on an older LG G3 855 Android phone,
the DJI Fly app software (I don't even know whether
the DJI Fly app on the LG G3 855 with Android Marshmallow 6) would work at all .

If the DJI Fly app was running on this older Android mobile phone, could I then use
the DJI RC controller and then practice with the DJI Fligt Simulator?
