Hi everyone!

So recently I had my mavic air 2 replaced because of a manufacturing defect. But when the replaced drone arrived I realized that the controller was diffrent. On the controller before the replacement the lights indicating the battery level were green and the cinematic mode was called cine but after the replacement the lights were white and cinematic mode is called Tripod. I was wandering if the change of controllers mattered in terms of range and transmission quality.

Thanks a lot.

No change in terms of range or transmission quality on the controllers. I have an Air2 and Air2S and noticed the same differences. You should be good.

You will have received the Air2S RC as the Air2 RC will be outdated by now.

Hello there Air 2 Pilot. Thank you for reaching out and for these information that you have given. Cine is also called Tripod on said DJI remote controller. The Cine mode is based on Normal mode and the flight speed is limited, making the aircraft more stable during shooting. Thank you.

Thats crazy. The one i received with the MA2 in 2020 had white LED's and the on i got with the Mini2 had green.
As already stated, the only difference is the print on the top for the modes, RTH button and the LED color.

Tripod controller with white LEDs is the first edition that came out with Mavic Air 2. Cine controller with green LEDs came out with Mini 2 and is the second edition. Both controllers are in fact RC-N1 and are basically the same.

The earlier replies and the OP himself stated that the green LED controller came first. You and the reply before yours is stating the opposite. Just trying to figure out which one is newer

My RC-N1 from Air 2 bought on May 2020 had white LEDs, while RC-N1 from Mini 2 bought on January 2021 had green LEDs.

Hi there,

There are some cosmetic differences on some batches of the RC-N1 remote controller; however, they do not affect the function and stability of the remote controller. Please feel free to use your remote controller.

If you have any other questions, kindly let us know. Thank You!
