Oh DJI....back to the ridiculous release notes.  Please please please, nobody does release notes like this if they want to be taken seriously.  This is what I would exect from a app getting an update in the app store.  Not what is called for when talking about a drone that can have liability implications for operators.  Please. Do. Better.

I am not updating until I see what features are actually improved or degraded from other users brave enough to update no matter what.

I hear this often on tech forums: "Fixed some Bugs". First off they are not "Bugs". They are errors in programming. Over 45 years of programming in many languages I never said to my support staff: "I fixed some bugs". Rather, I stated what the root cause of the issue was and what code was changed to improve the reliability and performance. I have an exterminator come to my home every spring to rid the "Bugs".

Please DJI, provide details on the open issue and the corrective action taken to eliminate the issue. You would gain much more respect from DJI product owners.

Air2s is working fine.I think some of this may have to do with updating to allow use with RC pro from Mavic3

Humm ok. I´m allways a bit sceptic to do the firmware updates just after they are released, specially when we have no info of the changelog.
I cant forget that because of a "bad" firmware i was unable to fly for a week when a bought the drone.

Just updated my Air2s. Looks fine. Reconnected with the RC Pro with no issues and changes.

The next update I am hoping will be able to connect to my EXPENSIVE DJI RC PRO of my Mavic 3. I want to see firmware able to connect both drones.
And yes please we need information in the release notes.

Just updated my Air2s. Looks fine. Reconnected with the RC Pro with no issues and changes.

Just got back from the first flight with the upgraded A2s and the RC Pro. Flight performance was excellent and the connectivity was impressive especially when the signal degradation was drastic (deep red single bar and momentary no bars at all). I am using HD as a video feed setting. I never lost all video (just degraded) and I never lost flight control of the drone. I never experienced such a forgiving behavior. I purposely went to a difficult area (wifi pollution, tall hills and forestation). I am very impressed. I think this update smoothed out the RC Pro connectivity.

It seems an update only for the drone cause my RC pro and batteries have not been updated…i have tried the other batteries and no prompt to update

I was going to check each battery but it seems I don't need to.

edit: Just checked it and the batteries don't need updating.

Why is it so difficult for DJI to be transparent in what you are doing? Since we are dealing with aviation, you should take a lesson in safety management systems (ICAO Annex 19). No one expects that your products are perfect as long as you keep improving them. That is why in “real” aviation we have service bulletins (SB) from the OEMs identifying in detail the product changes and improvements.  DJI, if you want to be taken serious in the world of aviation, then change your attitude and behavior.

I have updated and also getting very lengthy to no GPS lock now. This has never happened with my Air 2S before this update. It takes a good 5-6 minutes to acquire even 17-18 satellites.

because things are proprietary.  They could be changing things to security update, to talk to better satellites, to spy more, etc.

If every person knew every single thing in the world it could either be difficult to prevent people from "resting in peace" before tomorrow or engineering would be reramped up so high the world would be going 1000x faster in development than it is today in everything.

There is balance when people don't know what goes on in the world and sometimes only to know later that makes them "lose their mind".

Even if people did know, the issue would be trying to not get sued as there are always going to be people who Will sue unless your presentation is so good that without it, they would've 100% been screwed otherwise.

Basically the best luck people can have is when they make it into a better afterlife unexpectedly with the deliberate expectation they were going to live/grind 200 years on Earth Not knowing what the afterlife looks like.

There are plenty of issues that can come unexpectedly for any of us.  It's shown on the news all the time.

I knew it! They fix a bug and introduce a new one. Thats why im still at 2.04.1690 firmware.....My Air 2S takes 20 to 30 seconds to get a GPS lock depending where im taking off...

There is a version - DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drone Series) - available from DJI that works fine on Monterey. And this is a topic for a different thread anyway.

Just wondering if the RC pro came with your Air 2s or are you use the one with the Mavic 3 or was it a separate purchase?
