I m a nikon D810 user and looking for gimbal, where all reviews point for Ronin S, i just want to check that no compatibility issues are still happening, before i make the purchase.

It's compatible. I also have the Nikon D810 and am using it with the Ronin S gimbal.
Had no problems with the balance and controlling it, and also I do have the Ronin S Focus Motor attached to it. Works like a charm.
