Impressive shot DA.    The tributaries (not sure what else to call them) on the right side of the frame make some very unique designs.

The right side is sign posted as being a salt marsh thats protected.  Its popular with the egrets.

Well with the long legs that egrets have they are well suited for hunting down food in the salt marshes.

I love how they walk and waggle their feet under water as part of how they hunt.

They are very interesting to watch and also very successful at catching small fish.

We have a local one we call Eddie,   a play on the currents in water and rhyming with egret.   We often like to watch him and his funny walk,   but he's also quite shy and doesn't like being watched.

At the moment they seem to be busy fiddling with the bouys when the tide is out.    Although I did watch a little boat go and deliver some chain to one,   he just chucked it at the buoy,  I assume they then waked out at low tide and felt with it

Sounds like you have a viable naming process.

On a side note my oldest grandson put up the 3 trail cams that I bought.  Guess we will see if we can get some shots of the deer coming in to feed.  Although, he told me when he was out putting up the trail cams he didn't see any fresh tracks.  Could be with all the New Years celebration fireworks going off everywhere it scared the deer into hiding.

Yes.   He often goes out for no more than 45 minutes for the entire trip with a boat load of seeks on board.

Apparently he has a contract for with the council which I suspect was not what he has,  I suspect he has a permit for it as we dont have many seeks here but there is a lot as you head a few miles west which would be different councils,     when I googled to see if there were anyone doing it they were charging £150 for a 30-45 minute trip.

Hopefully, the trail cams will capture some shots.  Although, from what I've seen of the samples they are grainy.  Maybe I should have bought some higher end ones.
