The RC Pro is a more functionally capable controller.  Sure it costs more but if you want all the bells and whistles they don't come free.
  
RC Pro vs RC:
32GB internal storage and micro SD slot.  (only microSD on RC)
Mini-HDMI output on RC Pro.  None on RC
Screen recording at 1080p on RC Pro (versus 720p on RC)
1000 nits brightness on RC Pro (versus 700 nits on RC)
Ability to install third-party apps on RC Pro.  Can't add third-party apps on RC with a hack.

I've also found that I get a stronger signal using RC Pro over the RC.

They are a bit expensive but I've found it to be well worth the extra money.  It is so much better than the RC screened controller that came out when the Mini  3 Pro was released.  You got to love the 1,000 Nits display, the ability to put 3rd party Apps on it and having HDMI out is a huge benefit.

That's going to be a great buy.  I love my RC Pro.  So glad to not have to use my mobile device while flying as the display.  The display on the RC Pro is fantastic.  Even here in Florida the 1000 Nits is enough.
