I have been using Osmo action 3 for about 3 weeks (Firmware: 10.00.19.20). I am facing a problem with "SD card writing speed slow" on Samsung Evo Plus 128 Gb, I monitor that notification also appears when the temperature is cool. If I continue recording at any resolution 1080p, 2K, or 4K, it continues to display a notification error, if I switch to Timelapse and comeback video I will record normally and not display an error. So I think the problem is with the system, not by SD card.
Is there anybody who also faces the same problem as me?

I export the log from Action 3:  https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rrlJwcDDr6wcQL4pt2iFo_QevYwqMvuh/view?usp=sharing

The EVO Plus is not on the "official" support list. When you search for any of these cards, they all have write speeds over 100mb/s:
https://www.dji.com/hu/osmo-action-3/specs

The EVO Plus has a write speed of 60mb/s which seems to be slow:
https://www.samsung.com/us/compu ... 28gb-mb-mc128ha-am/

Also, try reformatting. See here:

had the same issue on a Evo Plus and lost a fair bit of footage as it started filming and then stopped after a short while, took me a while what was going on, which worked perfectly in Action 1 as well as any of my drones, swapped with my Action 1 card which was a Sandisc Extrem Pro and that worked without issue

I'm probably one of the few but I had nothing but "slow writing speed" errors with every SanDIsk card (directly purchased from them). Even the replacement cards they sent me had problems. I switched over to the Samsung EVO Select , not a single issue. I have the OA1.

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out and we're sorry for the trouble that this has caused. Can you please try to back up all the files on the said SD card and please try to reformat it using your computer and check if the issue persists? If you still experience the said issues, we strongly recommend using an SD card that is listed as compatible on our website. You may check the image below. Please keep us posted. Thank you for your understanding.

This card I buy from 3 years before, however, I think it still has enough speed to write 4K video in Action 3 because on the website Samsung also writes "Excellent performance for 4K UHD video" and when I record in 1080p resolution it also notifies "SD card writing speed slow"

Well, if you think the card has good enough performance because Samsung’s website says it’s “excellent”, then you’re prolly right and should keep using it.

(…ever seen a manufacturer’s website which said “don’t buy this card cuz its performance is slow”?)

It is prolly excellent for devices that create 4k videos with a data rate of around 60Mbit. Technology marches on. The Action 3 creates 4k videos with a data rate of around 100-130Mbit. Can your card handle it that is rated at 60 write and 100 read - which is marginal at most?

The only way to find out is to plug in a faster card.
Also, if you read the card's reviews at the Samsung site, someone wrote that it died after 3 years. Since you bought yours 3 years ago, maybe yours is dying, too.

Do not mix MB and Mb. 60 MB per seconds are 60x8 = 480 Mbps. So there should be enough headroom.

TIp to ignore notification"SD Card writing speed slow"

Timeline of video for easy watch
- 0 --> 19s: record video in 1080P60, appear notification "SD card writing speed slow"
- 20s --> 1m15s: save video into SD Card when speed slow
- 1m25s --> 2m22s: record in Timelapse
- 2m30s --> 4m00s: save video normally, don't appear notification writing slow

Can anybody explain why the sd card can be used normally after using Timelapse?

Hi there. Sorry for the late response. Can you please try to reformat the said SD card using a computer? If the issue persists, try to use a recommended SD card and see if there are changes to the issue, the list showing the compatible SD cards is shown in the above response. Please keep us posted. Thank you.

I just bought a Osmo Action 2 + screen module from Argos, here in England. At checkout it recommended a Samsung EvoPlus 64GB micriSD card for a very good price, £9.95 (about $10 these days!) So I included it in my order. Second it arrived I popped it in the camera and got the same message. Did some research and this card's max write speed is 20MB, despite in large letters on the packaging, it saying 130MB, but of course, that means READ speed, that no one cares about being we READ our cards after uploading the footage to our computers for editing. Anyway, Argos have excellent support and the card is being collected today, same day it was delivered and I have ordered a Sandisk card on Amazon that's writes at almost 200MBs.

I was given a DJI Osmo 4 bundle as a gift. I also have this issue with the Samsung EVO plus and this card was bundled with the camera when purchased direct from the DJI UK web store... But it's not recommended by DJI and causes error messages on the camera - that's insane

Hello there. Sorry about the trouble. You can try formatting the SD card using a computer. If the error still shows, please replace the SD card with those listed as recommended on the DJI Official Website. We appreciate your patience.
