It was miserable.  I think the bad weather triggers the shoppers,  I went earlier than I have been going and I still got home later than usual.  Id go for a high tide flight but it's threatening rain and Im not feeling inspired.

It was a good spot,       I was near the park and noticed how green it was looking and as I went in closer with the drone I realised the grid and the man mowing.

Just a few  drops of rain whilst I was out walking. Looks a bit threatening over the hills now.

We had hard rain on and off all afternoon,  and around 5 that turned to some good sized hail.  Last rain was abut 6:30am here and now were set for full sun for the morning,  just need some inspiration on where to go today.

Lovely morning here, and so Dawn Patrol already complete.
Got some close-up shots of the weather vane on the church spire to post.
Not as close-up as I'd have liked, but the surrounding trees made it difficult to manoeuvre.

Lucky you,   I got up to rain and a flat phone so the phone went on charge and I had a few extra zzz.   SHMBOd still hasn't surfaced and Ive not got a plan for today which Is unlike me.  But the sun is shining.

Looking forward to the vane shots.

I wish I could have got closer for the shots this morning.
I may repeat the exercise if I can find a better vantage point. The surrounding trees make VLOS tricky.

Trouble with that is, where I want to position the drone can't be seen from  there. The tower is in the way.
I'll take a reconnaisance walk later and choose the best spot. Then mark it for a Dawn Patrol in the near future.
