Today I purchased a DJI Osmo 6 gimbal and decided to update its firmware, to V01.03.01.10, since it was outdated. However, during the firmware update, there was an issue, and the update didn't progress beyond 0% and eventually timed out, leaving the gimbal with the famed Red-Green flashing lights. Now, you are im stuck, and somewhat furstrated... So please red below to see my problem and what fixed it, so you do not waste more time.
I started my FW update with:
- Samsung S21
- DJI MIMO app v1.9.0
- DJI OM6 new form the box
Currently, the symtops that my gimbal had:
- My gimball does not recornized being connected to a computer (Windows)
- My cellphone is unable to connect via bluetooth to the gimball.
- In the event of turning off the gimbal, and iff the gimball is connected to a powersource, the RED/GREEN lights are tuned on back again.
- It seems that we are unable to get the gimbal to exit the FW loop.
Steps used to fix the problem:
- Deleted and Re-installed DJI mimo
- Attempted to connect via bluetooth to the OM6
- Retried the FW update as many times as neecessary to get to 100% (about 6 times)
At this point, I was able get my gimbal working again.
