A while back I happened to notice that there were differences in values recorded a flight log for IMU 1 and IMU 2. I do not remember whether the log was a .txt or a .DAT (possibly easily checked I suppose if one does not record two sets of values) nor do I remember which flight this was. It was just something I noticed in passing. plus, as I have access to several Mavic 2 drones, I do not remember which drone it was.
I can NOT guarantee it but I think the differences might have been in pitch and roll values.

If the m2p/z does indeed have two separate IMUs, I am wondering, just for curiosity's sake, does anyone know if
a) some difference in recorded values normal?
b) If normal, what difference is considered acceptable?
c) Will a recalibration of the IMU align the two sets of values/outputs in subsequent flights?
d) If the drone itself was in flight and began to consider one IMU was giving erroneous data, what happens?

A thread about IMU calibration just brought this 'problem' and these questions to mind.
Thanks.

I can't remember but the Mavic 2 either had a backup compass or IMU but I think the latter, the Original Mavic Pro had duel compass and duel IMU. The readings on both should read the same and if the drone sees a possible failure in 1, it will switch to the redundant IMU. Best to do a cold IMU calibration and check the readings thereafter.
