For years I have been using DJI Mavic drones and unfortunately on 8/17 I lost the drone during its "go home" execution. First I was surprised it actually happen during the "go home" as I thought unless something strikes the drone it should come back home - it never did. The drone was on 80m altitiude, way above any obstackles and it was coming back home, ouch :-(
I wasn't expecting much from DJI as my warranty was long time gone and my "care refreshed" expired over an year ago, but I decided to open the "flyaway" case anyway. It's started promissing as my case wasn't dismissed up front due to no warranty, or no care refresh, or using Litchi app. I was never expecting the DJI will replace my drone, I was more hoping for bit of support and maybe discount :-) to get me going again with DJI series drone. Well, to make the story short, at the end it was all rejected. But what annoys me the most is that it was rejected due to not being able to open the "csv" log data file. Seriously, I provided DJI logs, Litchi logs, and links to Airdata, as well as the csv file and in all cases I was told the DJI support cannot read them. Not sure why just very strange.
I would understand they told me "we cannot help as you are out of warranty", or "we cannot help you because you used Litchi to fly the drone". No nothing like this, it was just because we cannot open the "csv" log file.
At the end I cannot be angry, just dissapointed. Unfortunatelly, the Mavic "family" became out of the reach as a replacement, but I'm dabating to get the 3 Air. I'm missing running my daily vlog from Hawaii, showing the beautiful island to my youtube subscribers.
