In watching the farming a bit more than usual this year its amazing how many processes occur that you actual usually miss.

A couple of weeks prior to the initial ploughing, they generally do the muck spreading, hoping for a bit of rain to wash it in.

It smelt like they had already done that this morning.  Air quality this past week has been pretty bad.

True,     at the moment its been quite cute stopping in one of my usual places and finding that as it gets lighter you're surrounded with sleeping cows.  They definitely wake up with the sun.

No doubt he's done this many times before.  This shot so reminds me of growing up on a large farm.

I have fleeting childhood memories of farm life, but having left at 4 years of age there's little detail.
But being surrounded by farmers for 15 years or so in rural France gave me a lot of opportunity to see them in action.

Growing up on a farm taught me respect for the land and instilled a good work ethic.  I feel it also builds character and teaches you responsibility early on. You quickly learn that you must put the needs of farm animals and others ahead of your own needs.  Really gave me a good foundation in the early stages of my life.  


Sounds corney, but is very true, at least for me anyway.

Since DJI partnered with Airdata they can connect to DJI and sync the log files,   then they create the badges with flight time etc,  you can choose which one you want.

Wind was probably in the wrong direction for it,  I think it was the mud in the river,   but not totally sure.   

We went to brightlingsea a few weeks ago and didnt notice the smell,  SWMBOd thinks the chips there are good and we had to go back to double check.

No doubt.  You'd have to fly over his property everyday to catch them all and then you'd probably miss a few unless you had an all day battery.

I was watching a YouTube yesterday that was by an estuary and was complaining about the smell,   so that seems the likely cause.

Maybe the Winter rains will cleanse the estuary and the air.
It looks pretty foreboding out here this morning, but we're off out in 10 minutes anyway. Hope it doesn't rain.

I saw once how they can dial in how many tram lines they want and off the tractor goes.

Its a bit treacherous when I first get to that area as its been pitch black the last few days,   apart from Sunday when two Chinese ladies came past waving phones around to see where they were going,  I suspect they were going to collect shell fish down the coast.
