I think the Osmo Pocket 3 would be such a great streaming camera if it would be able to stream using SRT. Any plans for the future to add this via firmware updates?
Hello, there. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We don't have relative information regarding this feature at the moment. However, rest assured that this will be considered as a suggestion, and forwarded to our relevant team for potential. Thank you for your support.
Which is why we use services like streamingserver.io to embed the SRT stream into OBS (either locally or using their cloud service) and then stream to the final platform. So for any high value production you would always use the osmo stream as a source and not as the final product.
I agree @Philosmo - would be nice to not have to stream to BelaBox first (or any other encoder). SRT + HEVC is the future regardless of who can ingest it yet (or in the future). Most of us stream back to a land connection somewhere and ingest with OBS before going out anyway. I could ditch 5 pounds of gear if I could go straight HVEC via SRT (or SRTLA). I'd even pay double if there was a pro model for doing this or some sort of handle.
I also hope to support SRT streaming. I use it in conjunction with OBS, and RTMP is not very efficient. It is prone to lagging due to poor network conditions. In comparison, SRT has much higher compression efficiency and requires much less network bandwidth to function smoothly.

Thank you for additional feedback. Rest assured that we're continuously forwarding related requests to our corresponding team. Thank you for your support.
The camera already has the codec support so it would be really nice to stream with it. I know somebody will come in here and say "YouTube does not support HEVC". That's not helpful plus not everyone streams directly to the endpoint and by streaming HEVC to begin with we can remove the encoder overhead. DJI, the RTMP protocol has been adapted (enhanced)https://github.com/veovera/enhanced-rtmp to allow HEVC over RTMP, this one thing could be a game changer in terms of wireless transmission of video back to a base where it can then be carried to offsite processing.
+1 here. I would love to use my Action 4 to make IRL streams with SRT streaming from the camera to my OBS running on my pc at home. RTMP just works so bad when there is poor internet connection.
