Hi all,

I've just received my Osmo Pocket 3 and when I try to activate it, I get a failure stating "Activation Failed, SN Locked".

It was a sealed unit, bought direct from DJI Online Store.

Any ideas how to fix it? I'll try to phone support as soon as i can but if someone has a simple fix that would be great.

If you can't get DJI Support right away then DM your serial number to one of the Forum Mods or Admins.  The error you got almost looks like the serial number has been locked for some reason, although it could just mean the serial number is locked until after activation.  I hope you get the issue resolved soon as the OP3 is a great upgrade from the OP2.

Thank you for your replies, DJI Diana and DowntownRDB.  I have just spoken to support and it appears that the device has been locked as it is a customer return.  I guess it was retuned without being opened as it was completely sealed when I received it.  Understandably, the device serial number was locked to prevent theft but surely this should have been checked prior to being dispatched from the warehouse.  Interestingly, my order tracking is still saying that the "warehouse is picking your item" so perhaps a final stage of the process was missed.

Essentially, for anyone else that experiences this issue, it requires a return to DJI for a refund or replacement.

Having the same problem over here. I bought the Osmo pocket 3 from a guy on a marketplace. Same failure with SN .

I guess that DJI can not keep  up with the demand and  mistakes happen but how quickly they are resolved,  Glad that Downtown was on top of it,  Awesome tip ((LIKED))

thank you for reaching out.

Please follow the troubleshooting steps below and see if you can isolate the issue.

1. Make sure you are using the latest version of DJI Mimo App; if not, please update the app and test again;

2. Check if the Osmo Pocket 3 can be used normally without connecting to DJI Mimo App;

1)If the Pocket 3 can be used normally without connecting to the app, please collect the following information:

a. APP version;

b. Mobile phone model and system version;

c. APP Log;

2)If the Pocket 3 cannot be used normally without connecting to the app, please try to connect to other mobile phones for testing;

3)If the Pocket 3 cannot be connected or activated normally after changing the mobile phone, please send it back for testing.

Please keep us updated on the progress.
