Hello

I purchased an iPhone 15 (IOS 17.2.1), I immediately ordered a USB-MicoA - USB-C cable to connect the remote control of my Mavic Mini But the remote control does not connect to the phone, is it the wrong cable ? or a software problem ?

Thank you for your reply.

Hello. It has been confirmed that your mobile device iPhone 15 is not currently compatible. It can be preliminarily determined that the issue is caused by a compatibility error. Since there are many device models awaiting testing, this issue cannot be resolved in the short term. If you have an urgent flight mission, it is recommended that you use the app with one of the supported mobile device models listed on the DJI official website in order to avoid a flight mission failure. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding and support.

The iPhone 15 came out September 22nd, 2023. I think DJI has had nearly a half year to figure this out.  At least half your customers are on iOS.  This seems like a big failure on DJI's side.  Even a little transparency regarding expectations and timing would be nice.    @DJIPaladin, it does not go un-noticed that you just copy-paste this same answer across the forums.

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out. As of the time being, the iPhone 15 is currently not listed under compatible devices for the DJI Fly app. Rest assured that our team is working hard to test other latest mobile devices to be compatible with the application. Should you have other inquiries, feel free to contact us. Thank you for your understanding.

Just ordered a mini 2 just to read the iphone 15 (my only phone) is not compatible. Has this issue been resolved or is there an estimated date for it to be compatible or should I cancel the order?

Hi. There is no announcement at the moment. You can try using an adapter (female lightning to male USB-C) to connect your iPhone 15 to your remote as some users can successfully connect it using an adapter. We are continuously submitting customer feedback to the relevant team regarding this matter for evaluation. We appreciate your patience.

Using an adapter worked for me. Thanks for the suggestion. I would never had thought of trying that.

I bought a cable on Amazon, and it couldn't physically connect. This is a horrible scam. Spend close to $1000 and within two years, your product is unsupported and useless.

If you actually read the thread you might find a solution. Then again if you had checked to see if your intended phone was compatible your might have avoided the issue altogether.

That makes me wonder who is a fault ?
The drone is not useles, you just don't have the correct equipment to use it as that is your own fault.
I am sure some one would have happy to take the drone off your hands and use it if you feel that it remains useless.

I actually found this issue yesterday. I was able to work around it by using a standard USBC to USBC cable. The most annoying part was the length of the cable I had with me. Everything worked perfectly with my 15 Pro Max.

Hi there. We do apologize for the trouble. Kindly make sure that you are using a USB communication "Data Cable" and ensure that it is well inserted on the port of both controller and mobile device then check if the issue persists. If yes, please confirm what specific DJI App version you are using so we can check it further. Please keep us posted.

The cable I have is a data cable. The message that comes out when you connect the remote control is this.

“You can't use the accessory

This accessory consumes too much energy.”

Hello, what model adapter did you buy for your iPhone 15 to connect to the Mavic Mini controller? I bought an adapter off Amazon, but it didn’t make a difference. Thanks!

Hello all, I just recently upgraded to an iphone 15 (standard). I have a Mavic mini first geberation. In the kit (it was the fly more edition with 3 batteries) there were lighting and usb cables. I tried the usbc in the iphone 15 and worked at first try (connects and shows video). I will try to fly it a little bit later on

Hi there,  I would like you to confirm if the compatibility problem between the iPhone 15 and the DJI Mini 2 is due to the USB connector or is it a software problem? I wouldn't want to buy a pointless connector  adapter. Thanks

Does DGI have a replacement RC cable to work with the Mavic Mini and the new iPhone 15 with a C connector?  I have tried an Apple USB-C to Lightning adapter and it did not work. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I was having same problem, Mavic Mini, iPhone 15 Pro running iOS 18.1. Purchased Lightning to USB-C adapter at Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CZ8V65WC?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 for $10. Connected right up, went through Flight Aware update and flew it. It's been awhile since the last post on this forum so I assume others have figured this out. Without adapter there was no connection.
