Is it somehow possible to record video from the camera to SD without glasses? That is, use the camera only for recording.

I don't know but 1. you'd need something to start the recording so either arm the quad/flight controller or start the recording via a command sent by the controller. 2. you wouldn't be able to tell if it records and what the settings are.
