enable 32bit float and low-cut recording without the receiver but having only purchased the transmitter to connect it to the iPhone... how can I do it?

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out. The transmitter doesn't have the 32-bit recording enabled by default. A receiver needs to be used or either an Action 4 or Pocket 3, to switch to 32-bit recording mode. We appreciate your patience.

Tony, I only have the transmitter (€99) purchased on Amazon... I have to connect it to my iPhone 15 Pro and reading the specifications of the object (DJI website) it doesn't say that to enable the 32bit float functions (for another extremely important for me) and the low-cut function, you also need to have an Action 4 or a Pocket 3. Please do something to solve this serious problem. Grazie.

Hello.
I have exactly the same problem and I would like a solution.
For example, 32bit float can be set as the default setting via an update. Best regards
Andy

Hi, Jozzino. I understand. What I can do is submit your request to the relevant team to provide them with feedback and evaluate it. Any news or updates will be announced on the DJI official website or in the DJI Forum. Thank you for your patience.

DJI email support told me to go to a DJI service center for changing settings, so I did that. The service center told me, that it couldn't be done. They tried anyway. BUT THE SETTINGS DIDN'T SAVE. What is this? It doesn't feel like a DJI product.

Hi,

Same problem as everyone! I was expecting to use 32bit float standalone (because that's why I bought it seperatly) and it doesn't say you can't change it, actually it say in the manual that you can!! Fix it please that's very unprofessional!!

Is the 32-bit float record while recording just on transmitter without the connection to the smartphone (recording to the internal storage)?

Has this problem been solved? I bought this device based on the false advertising plastered all over DJIs website claiming this device records 32 bit float.

It does not. It also doesn’t work with iPhones. Despite being advertised as compatible with iPhones.

Has this false advertising been reported to the FTC? I’ll be doing so in the AM, unless of course there’s a patch for this I’m unaware of.

Hi, I have carefully read all the posts written... let's not joke please. Dji must find a solution (Mimo, Altra APP or equivalent), to allow those who bought the microphone for their iPhone, to be able to activate, at least the 32 bit mode in recording. So the microphone is unusable. Stop.
(Sorry for the outburst but I've been waiting for a solution for at least two months).

P.s.
The Dji technical office in an email advised me to go to the store where I bought the microphone (I got it on Amazon), and borrow a receiver to activate the 32 bit option. )))

Say what the what now? I was just about to buy 2 of these, that's ridiculous. A software enforced design restriction to force sale upgrades?

This is pretty poor DJI,

I purchased two of these units recently, with the intention to use them as standalone devices. Being of the understanding, based on the sales information, that I could enable 32bit, but this cannot be done so simply, surely this is something the team could add to the MIMO app, or is the intention to push people to spend more money on getting the other dji equipment to have what was advertised???

Domanda per il team DJI:
visto l'impossibilità per noi utenti che abbiamo acquistato il solo microfono trasmettitore di abilitare la registrazione in float 32, sarebbe possibile acquistare il solo ricevitore? Grazie.

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. Regrettably, users can only purchase the receivers together with transmitter through DJI official store. However, you're welcome to try at the retail stores nearby you listed on our official website. Below are the links you can try at :

On the same link provided above you can also click on the "Official Online Stores" tab and try at our "Amazon DJI Official Store" or "eBay DJI Official Store".

I hope this information has helped to clarify your inquiries. If you have any other questions, kindly let us know. Thank You!

If you didn't realize Natalia, the issue wasn't solved. He had to buy extra device.

The issue still remains for all of us who bought it separately. Till now I didn't even found an app which could update it with iphones... This is my first DJI experience and poorest so far in camera/mic world.

All I got it for doesn't seem to be there - 32bit audio, proper connectivity

Hi Ryan, thank you for bringing this to our attention. As my colleague mentioned in reply #2, the transmitter doesn't have the 32-bit recording enabled by default. A receiver needs to be used or either an Osmo Action 4 or Osmo Pocket 3, to switch to 32-bit recording mode. Nevertheless, we truly understand and appreciate your feedback. We will forward your feedback to our relevant department for evaluation. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Thanks.

Before I buy a complete DJI Mic 2 set to get 32 bit, I'll choose the Rode Wireless Pro set, which is only slightly more expensive, but has MUCH more to offer (e.g. added Law mics and Timecode support). Sorry DJI, you lost another potential customer.

I made the same mistake and now I'll have to buy a receiver and transmitter combo. I wish DJI's website were clear about it.

As I have the complete set of DJI mic 1 I wanted to try out the 32 bit float of the new Mic 2 - so I bought one transmitter..., just to discover that it only is recording in 24 bit.
On my search for a solution I did find this forum and the informations in this thread.
The sad thing is, that people are complaining since March about this topic and you - DJI did not react on this.
Please roll out an Update for a new button pressing sequence for the 32 bit option on/off for the stand alone transmitter solution.
For sure I will not buy anything else like the receiver (which is even not sold separately) just to switch on 32 bit.
In fact I would prefer to spend this money to test a product of another brand

Same problem here. Solution should be easy but I think this is horrible marketting strategy! Shame on you!  if you had provided enough information from the beginning, we wouldn't have bought it. you can solve this problem with a simple update but you don't care about your customers.

Hi, I am having the same issue............bought the transmitter as a stand alone.  Why would they even sell a stand alone without a way to access one of the most important feature (32 bit float).
Anyways, I would like to know if I can buy a receiver separately.  If so, give us a discount code to reflect the $219-$99 = $120.  We pay $120 and get a receiver for those of us that bought the transmitter alone since it was not advertised that the 32-bit float cannot be turned on with the transmitter alone.  OR, you can sell me the Transmitter, Receiver and charging case for $250.  We need to have a solution.
