Just a general question, is DJI Focus Pro is able to work together with DJI RS 3 gimbal?

DJI Focus Pro LiDAR currently only supports the use of DJI RS 4 Pro and DJI RS 3 Pro and does not support the use of  DJI RS3, there is no new adaptation plan but I will take it as a suggestion of yours, and will forward it to our designated team for attention. I just got the Focus Pro LiDAR and it works with RS3 Pro and the lens motor 2022.  No additional function besides longer focus range and maybe none human face object tracking.  I read somewhere that RS3Pro works conjunction with the Focus Pro grip, but not sure because I didn’t buy the grip.

@ DJI Gamora I just purchased the DJI Focus Pro Motor, but I can't fit it to the RS3!!! The plate doesn't match the plate on the gimbal. I bought it specifically from DJI website where it clearly states it's compatible with the RS3 gimbal. Please help!!

You can get a camera cage that has option to add 15mm rod.

Ok, but what if I don't want to make the gimbal heavier by adding a camera cage. Why am I forced to buy more stuff instead of just connecting the motor directly to the gimbal's plate like on the older models?

That’s not how it mounts. The plate is an arca Swiss plate. You have to put that on the included DJI baseplate with the arca Swiss cutout.

This way the Focus pro is working separately from the gimbal so any gimbal would work.

We use the Tilta Light weight gimbal support and use only one v-lock battery to avoid excess weight.  Draw back is the cable would limit the pan range but having AMF is so valuable.
