I do believe DJI Avata 2 has a Date/Time Stamp bug!
I did what DJI Tech Support suggested in unbinding the Goggles/Drone from my account via the Fly App. Then after binding back the system to my account, I did a short test of two recordings and it looked like the date/time was now correct.
Later in the afternoon, I was flying, and here is the result:
1) Powered up the Goggles, Motion Controller, and the Drone.
2) Fly for around 16 minutes and landed
[Later when I got home I found that the videos from that flight had the correct date/time stamp]
3) Powered down the Drone and swapped the battery.
4) Got interrupted for around 15 minutes.
5) Powered on the Drone
6) Fly for about 10 min and landed.
7) Powered off the Drone, Motion Controller, and the Goggles.
[Later when I got home I found that the videos on the Goggles side had the wrong date/time stamp but the Drone videos were OK]
OK, so we have an issue here!
I need to see if I can reproduce this issue, but I have a strong feeling I can because when this happened to me the first time I also had a break in the flying where the Drone was off but the Motion Controller and Goggles were not.
Here is what I think is happening:
Under normal situations, the Goggles get the sync date/time most likely from the Drone that gets it from the GPS.
If the Goggles can't get in contact with the Drone (since it's powered off), the Goggles pick the date from when it was first activated instead of using the last used date.
If I can reproduce the issue, and I think I can, then we have a bug and it needs to be fixed I assume you agree with that? |
