I didn't expect to like the sling bag that much, but it fits everything perfectly with some room to spare, and is comfortable enough to take anywhere, even on a bike. I'll have to re-evaluate carrying options once Goggles 3 support O3AU or O4AU is out though as I'll probably be carrying Goggles 3 and FPVRC3 in my standard FPV backpack anyway

DJI Goggles ruck sack for me,   we now have two of them and I think that might become 3 as SWMBOd wants one for her laptop.

sling bag is awesome, only missing a small flap to put fpvrc3 and mc3 on the same place without scratching

It is a cool little bag for heading to a local field or park with just the Avata 2 set up

I use a peak design back pack when hiking but the sling bag is great for quick practice flights at the field

There is a way of sliding both into one pocket without them scratching - couple of vids on YT show how

I've added a cheap chest strap to ours and it makes it way more comfortable for longer hikes.    The bag has the loop where to install it just didnt come with it,   mines orange to match the Avata colour scheme.

Cool - nice bit of colour coordination! Have you got a pic of the bag?

I tweaked a design for a stick holder and 3d printed it,    I keep the goggles, remote etc in small bags too which helps.   I can also fit in the bag the Mini 3 Pro, controller and batteries.

Thats when it comes in really handy - when you have multiple drones and extra equipment to carry

Found another use for the bag this morning AJ. Flying the Avata in the local park and noticed a puppy running about eluding its owner who was frantically trying to catch it. Knowing how curious pups are, I opened the sling bag, called the puppy to have a look and caught its collar. Handed it back to the owner who was 'over the moon' to get it back. So it seems it has more than one use. LOL.

If you had the back pack you could have put the puppy in it and zipped it up until you finished flying

I do have a backpack but it is for sole use for my M2P which takes all accessories including 5 batteries, Smart Controller, various chargers, leads etc. etc.

I'm only joking BTW - I have a back pack (Peak Design 15L) but hardly use it. The sling bag holds everything I typically need.

I realised it was in jest. Hoping for good weather in the Highlands (Maybe Glencoe) this Friday to get out and fly the M2P. Will take a Mini 2 as well just for fun.

Forget them and take out the Avata 2 - take her up to 200' and switch to manual then rip through the highlands at 60MPH

This is the best tutorial I have yet to come across for learning to fly in full manual FPV as a beginner. It's a free 20 part guide from Joshua Bardwell and covers practically everything you will need to know to fly in manual safely and with confidence. It's worked for me - from how to take off manually to controlling speed and altitude to doing split-S's as in my last vids.

Thanks for that AJ.

You're welcome - watch it thoroughly and it will start to be less intimidating. It's a totally different flying experience when it starts to click. The best analogy between FPV and normal GPS drones is It's like going to Silverstone to drive a Ferrari around the track then getting in your own car to drive home.

That's some analogy! It means I would be certain to crash my own car on the way home!

Sling Bag works. Nicely designed to carry everything plus more in a compact and functional bag. No need to dig around to access anything. Everything stays secured and relatively well protected from minor bumps. . Side pocket works fine for the legal documents. In a perfect world. A ~1cm deeper internal top lid pocket and an accordion/cargo style outer pocket on the front side would have been nice.

I agree - I have four batteries, both controllers with lanyards, ND filters, cables, full set of spare props, goggles 3, avata 2, charging hub, legal docs etc in that bag - it's now full but nothing is crushed and it's nicely organised.

Change of plan lol - the official DJI Carry More Backpack for FPV is very nice!

Does the quad and/or goggles shift around in the pack? Quad pocket looks deep enough to tack couple Avata2s. Time for a backup or spare Avata2?

The darker color of the sling bag gets a bit hot if left out in the sun.  It has been seasonably relatively cool until just recently.  Dolt here. I was getting hot sitting exposed to the full radiant heat of the sun. Next time it sits under the camp chair in the shade.  Maybe a  dark grey bottom with light earth tone brown, sand, tan color sides and top for v2?

I thought they would too but no they don't shift about. Everything is nicely packed.

The sections are module so you can reorganise the layout to accommodate your own preference and set up - more than enough room for multiple quads.

Another nice thing abut this backpack is that the added space allows the  used batteries to cool down quicker between flights while in the safety of the bag.

There is no mention of a V2 and this bag has been in production for six years and remains popular so I don't think DJI have plans to change it. They do offer other bags of course alongside this one but this is specifically designed for FPV.

I quite like the Sling Bag but more for lighter set up's and quick walks to the local parks. Not ideal for hiking or if you have more gear.
