Can’t be anywhere near Manchester we still run HS1 stephensons rockets - nice shot though

Seems it was part of the agreement for the housing estate,  which someone else featured as a 360 pano last year.     They've had to build new schools and shops and this is the final part of the development I believe.

Behind it is a new housing development that it will service,   and I reckon they want to build more homes there in the future.

No where near Manchester but probably costs the same for a ticket to London from there.

I fleetingly wondered if it had anything related to HS2, but I see from the map that it's nowhere near there.

No,  it's on the easter line right outside chelmsford.   Very expensive that line is too.

There's a lot of work going on, on the Manchester to Sheffield line (which passes through here) requiring replacement buses. It's been going on for months.
Damp has moved on to drizzle and now is turning to persistent rain here

Good to know. A station you need to commute to doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I see where one of the world's largest cranes is being used in the UK.  The Sarens SGC 250, affectionately called Big Carl. This is the largest ring crane in the world both in size and capacity. It stands 820-feet (250m) high. It requires 12 CAT engines grouped in six pairs to operate, with each pair producing 420 horsepower to create an impressive 5,040 horsepower.

This goliath of a crane has a maximum load moment of 275,577.8 tons (250,000 metric tons) and can lift up to 5,511 tons (5,000 metric tons). All in all, it is the sturdiest crane of its kind, kitted out with all the capabilities of a fully mobile ring crane.

Moving that has to be a nightmare.  I'm betting at least the boom has to be disassembled and no idea what else.
