Practicing rolls without the attitude limit......

A few clips from the first three flights without the atitude limit enabled.   completly changes how I was flying with it enabled previously,  and the strong winds today didnt help.   But oh my so much more power,    watch the take off speed.

Nicely done DA! Welcome to the club lol You'll reach 400' from ground level in about 7 seconds. Be careful not to do -90 degree dives at >60mph as you'll hit the ground from 400' in less than 4.5 seconds! Now you can max out the velocity of the drone and get it's true potential. It's a big step and I actually find it easier to fly than with attitude enabled.

Im finding it much harder to fly without the attitude limit on,    Ive used the pause button once as a test with the limit and about 3 times per flight since taking it off.    I think I was relying too much on the limits before and I need to get out of that habit.    3 more flights this morning in full manual and I only binned it twice into the grass,   I need to stop doing loop the loops too low.

Increase the rates the lower you intend to do freestyle. I have mine slower for more cinematic style when flipping and rolling at higher altitudes. You will lose significant altitude when spinning slower, especially if you are not reducing the throttle as the thrust in the invert will pull the drone to the ground faster when at 180 - thats why you need to remove the tension in the spring on the throttle stick so you can reduce the throttle to zero in freestyle.

Ive flown the Avata around the house a few times now,     last time it sent a stack of tuppaware flying everywhere just from the prop wash.

No, it wouldn't tilt forward enough. I did fly down but not as steeply as I wanted.

Yes,    but now the limit is turned off taking off in manual slowly is much smoother than with the limit turned on,  go figure that.

UPS update,  they marked the delivery as attempted at 11:45am with no one home to receive.  Although they didnt turn up until 12:15pm to actually delivery,   must be their way to get around a late delivery.

No doubt the driver is scamming the system to keep from getting in trouble.  Around 3 years ago hey tried to pull the attempted delivery with nobody home on me and then delivered the next day.  I took the footage from my security camera to the UPS Area Manager to see that no delivery was attempted.  He called the employee in to watch the footage.  The employee admitted he'd lied and the Area Manager told him to go clean out his locker and report to HR.  He called HR and told them to fire him when he gets to their office.  He apologized to me and said that they were experiencing a shortage of drivers and this guy probably wasn't properly vetted or trained.

As you know I'm not a fan of UPS at all.  I just never get good service from them.  On a couple of occasions an item I ordered showed up in the database as out for delivery.  Didn't get delivered but that evening the database showed it as returned to depot without any further explanation.  The following day the same thing happened.  On the third morning I call in to complain and was told that the tracker was probably wrong.  Once the package got delivered I asked the driver about it and he said that on Day 1 his truck broke down and they towed it back to the depot which is why it was returned on Day 1.  I don't know why they didn't send a working truck out to finish the deliveries.  Anyway, he was off on Day 2 and had no idea why it wasn't delivered.  Which is why when I have an option I will opt for FEDEX delivery or just buy from Amazon.

The way they operate does seem to be as mystery.   Id never close them over another delivery company but they seem to offer much good deals to the big companies here we dont get a choice.

I'm thinking because of their less than stellar reputation for service they have to offer really good deals for companies to keep using them.  One of the larger home gym equipment companies just quit using  UPS because of the way they mishandle their boxes during shipment.  They were able to obtain videos showing boxes being thrown around, stepped on and kicked while unloading from trucks or being thrown on ground at delivery addresses.  They are suing UPS and will not doubt win a sizable amount from them.

During C19 there was a different shipping company caught here doing the same things,    they ended up rebranding to a new name to avoid the stigma.

Sounds like a lot of the here today and gone tomorrow small companies that quickly rebrand themselves under a new name and continue to rip people off.  Happened here not long ago with a swimming pool company.  they had 6 names in 14 months.  All went under owing tons of money back to customers for unfinished pools.

That used to be a big problem with double glazing companies here,      not so much for unfinished jobs though just to get out of the warranties.

The guy that rebranded his swimming pool company here finally got dragged into court and then the state revoked his license for swimming pool building.  The judge didn't want to send him to prison since he owed so much money to so many people so he gave him 20,000 hours of community service and he also has to make a deposit to a specific account each money which will be used to eventually pay back a little of what he owes all those people that he defrauded.  I see him occasionally picking up trash alongside the road with some others doing community service.
