Quick one - perhaps someone tried already?

High gain antennas they say improve transmission. This means I should put them on the 4D?  Or will I get the same increase in signal if I put them just on the receiver -  remote monitor?

Thanks!

Hard to say. I certainly noticed an improvement with high gain antennae  only on the High Bright Remote Monitor but, while I do have  two sets,  I didn't have an opportunity to test whether having them only on the 4D or on both the 4D and the remote monitor would have been better, worse or the same. I should add that my high gain antennae are not DJI branded, although I suspect they are identical to those sold by DJI, In short, You may get all the range you need with high gain antennae on the high bright remote monitor or the Transmission receiver

Thanks for sharing this. May I ask what brand you are using?

Sorry for the long delay. I suffered a stroke in June and I'm only just getting back to doing half-normal stuff. I ordered the antennae online from what turned out to be a drone specialist based in Germany. I'll have to look through my previous posts to come up with the name of the company. I say they were not DJI branded because they look identical and were packaged identically to the DJI product. On closer inspection, they were made by a company just down the road from DJI in China which made me suspect they supply DJI in the same way Bosch will have made the brake pads when I next have my car serviced. DJI would not supply their own to customers in the UK and most of Europe because their use  contravenes certain laws pertaining to radio transmissions which I take to mean they're too powerful, so they and the German company who supplied mine might not be particularly forthcoming but the Germans were not averse to me promoting them at the time, which was at the start of this year IIRC. I'll give you more details after I retrace my  steps.
EDIT: The German supplier was called Globe Flight
