The Pocket 2 got a ringside seat for this activity at the Furness Vale Marina, on a rare sunny Monday morning.
The lovely weather ensured a brisk trade in repairs and refuelling of the canal boats.

Lovely footage Mr. B.  Good timing on your part to catch several of them at work.  Nothing beats a ringside seat.

If I'd only got there a couple of minutes sooner, I'd have been able to film them swinging the dock gate into place. As it was, I just got set up in time to film them lowering it the final couple of feet.

I didn't film the whole process, but I reckon maybe 20 minutes.
I flew the drone after that to get the 360Pano, and when I'd packed up and walked on the last few squirts of water were being pumped out.
So, float the boat in, secure the dock gate, pump the dock dry, maybe half an hour all told.

It's quite a small dock, compared to the Locks. Just enough room to fit a narrowboat in and work on it.

Theres a couple of dry boats but I cant think of an actual dock.

Yes,  thats a boat/barge thing that they open the doors on the rear when the tide is out,   tide comes in,  boat docks,   they close the doors,  wait for the tide to go out and then pump it out.
