With the Osmo Pocket 3, firmware 1.04.08.02, when "Face Auto-detect" is enabled, if a tracked face/subject is lost (after about 5 seconds of non-tracking, "Subject lost" appears on the camera dissplay), a face can not be reacquired until recording is stopped and restarted. Can this behavior be changed?

In my use case, I want to leave the the camera stationary at the edge of a stage and capture/track faces that appear closest to the center. If a tracked face/subject is lost, I want a face/subject to be automatically reacquired. Ideally, the gimbal would re-center or search for another face to reacquire, but even just sitting at last point waiting/watching for a new face to appear to track would work better than what we have now.

Please?

Thank you,

-Rob

+1 I was just about to post a new topic about this. To me the entire point of the "Face Auto-detect" is that it should always be able to lock onto a face when one is detected during recording, not just the first and only time. Thanks!

So this answer was never answered then? It's pretty important considering the tracking being the major reason I bought this camera. I just bought mine and right out the box same issue. I tried both face tracking and active tracking. Same issue and it loses tracking everytime in less then 5 minutes.
