Many wildfires in Northern Alberta result in heavy smoke. I'm located near Edmonton. Compare this 360 to the one posted a few days ago.

I see quite a few have been burning for a while and are listed as uncontrolled. Hopefully you'll get a decent change in the weather.

Fairly heavy haze of smoke.  Hopefully, you'll get some rain soon and that will help with some of those fires.

Yes, rain would be best in the region where the fires are but I would settle for a southern breeze to blow the smoke back up north.

Thanks very much, Erik S.  This usually happens every summer for a few weeks.  Usually,   the weather blows the smoke in another direction.  It's cleared up a lot in the last day or so.

Thanks very much, Captain Montfrooij.  The wind changed direction and we had a week of clear skies.  Yesterday it switched again and we are blanketed with smoke once again.
