The magical island of Santo Antao probably is Cape Verde's most beautiful island. It's at least 4 times larger compared to neighbor São Vicente.

Only the island of Santiago is larger.


This, and the fact that there is so much to see, makes Santo Antão a perfect place to get a rental car.


You can hire a car in harbour city Porto Novo, and discover nearly the entire island from there.


The drive from Porto Novo to Tarrafal de Monte Trigo is not only a beautiful one, but it also shows the reality.

Yeah, very nice video with good, clear shots showing the power from the ocean and the beautiful mountain scenery - good work, thanks for sharing.

It’s a pleasure to fly over the great landscapes with the stunning waves and the the black sand.

The sound design and the music sounds good, the music is for me to heroic and a little bit over the top for the more calm pictures.

Anyway, great feeling to watch your video and you catch my attention for this island - is there any vegetation like trees and flowers on the island and how is the touristic atmosphere ?

Yes indeed there are many trees and its very green in the north west valleys and crater of the island.
Please watch my next publications of the island soon. It is less touristy than the other islands. It’s more of a hikers destination.
