Isn't it recorded in the meta data of the actual photo itself ?
In addition, it is likely that the .txt flightlog records the taking of a photo and that log does normally contain coordinates.
To read the .txt flight log you would need to upload the .txt flight log to
https://www.phantomhelp.com/LogViewer/Upload/
then download and open the csv from that website.
If you say which drone you are using I can probably tell you which column to look in.

Yes.  The EXIF data includes GPS co-ordinates  (My Mini3Pro does , by default)
For example:

For the DJI Mini3Pro, which I use, the EXIF data records the GPS co-ordinates by default.
For example, copy this image and examine the EXIF data with a suitable tool, and you can determine where the picture was taken.
Or you can cheat, and Search the image with Google lens

No, you can find the coordinates but there's no way to "save" them.

One would need the original image file to do that.
There's no metadata on the reduced-size images this forum shows.

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out. For the photos taken by consumer products (Mavic series, Phantom 3 series/Phantom 4 series, Spark, DJI FPV and DJI Avata Series), the latitude and longitude coordinates can be viewed in the photo properties (via a computer or EXIF software).

I hope this information has helped to clarify your inquiries. If you have any other questions, kindly let us know. Thank You!

That's unfortunate - Plan B applies then. Ask Google Lens

There is one thing most folks do not consider. The GPS coordinates you get from the EXIF files or even if you could save a snapshot location is, it is where the aircraft is, not what you are looking at. There is a slant range offset going on and your position may be far off from the position you are looking at.  I had that issue on a large scale survey we were doing of marine mammals from aircraft. Observers would have to record their angle and bearing of the animal and a small portable computer, which looked at the current aircraft position would compute the offset position.

Good thing you are "charging" your body's batteries today as no doubt tomorrow you'll deplete them on your hiking adventure.  Planning any hill climbing?

7 miles amongst the Derbyshire hills, with a small group.  Only gentle slopes. Forecast is iffy

Sounds like a leisurely walk, albeit a long one.  I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to have good weather.

Fair point.  In general terms, the exif data would give an idea of where the World an image was taken. Probably near enough for casual viewing.  But for pinpoint accuracy, you are right.
